Squirrel Removal and Control

Squirrel looking out over rain gutterSquirrel removal is one of our most in-demand services. Squirrels are everywhere in Georgia, it seems, and they're very skilled and persistent little critters who never cease trying to get into our houses and other buildings. There are two species of squirrels common in Georgia: the gray squirrel and the flying squirrel. This page deals with gray squirrels.

Gray squirrels are rodents with fluffy tails who generally prefer living in high places. In nature, this would mean a hollow tree. But squirrels aren't stupid: Why live in a cold, hollow tree when a nice, warm, dry attic is just a few yards away? So being the skilled aerialists that they are, squirrels look for tree branches, electrical wires, or whatever else they can find to get up into our attics. Sometimes they just climb right up the exterior walls.

Once they're in the attic, the ungrateful squirrels make a mess with their droppings, urine, and shed fur. They also gnaw on rafters and electrical wires, causing structural damage and creating a fire risk. They contaminate the insulation, and they destroy stored items. It's amazing how much trouble such a small animal can cause.

But don't worry. Rid-A-Critter is Georgia's most experienced squirrel removal company. We have the manpower, know-how, and equipment to handle any squirrel problem -- and we do mean any squirrel problem -- no matter how big, how high, or how many. We'll find the squirrels, trap them, humanely remove them, and keep them out for good. We'll even clean up after them.
